Agent Splitter

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Agent Splitter collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use the Agent Splitter website and commission-tracking service (the “Service”). Agent Splitter is operated as a sole proprietorship based in South Africa and provides the Service primarily to individual real estate sales agents in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Account information

We collect information you provide when creating or maintaining an account, including your first name, last name, email address, optional display name and authentication-related information. Passwords are stored using one-way password hashing rather than as readable plain text.

Commission and transaction information

We collect the information you choose to enter into the Service, such as transaction identifiers, sale prices, commission basis amounts, percentages, adjustments, brokerage-approved commission, payment amounts and dates, notes, deal sources, compensation profiles, caps or thresholds and transaction change history.

Subscription and billing information

We maintain subscription status, billing frequency, billing-period information, payment status, invoice or receipt records and references supplied by our payment provider. Payment-card details are handled by the external payment provider; Agent Splitter does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Technical and security information

When you use the Service, our systems and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, session information, security events and application or server logs. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to provide and maintain the Service; authenticate users; calculate and display commission information; process subscriptions and maintain billing records; send transactional and account-related emails; provide support; detect abuse or security threats; troubleshoot problems; maintain backups and records; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your commission records to determine your entitlement to commission, make brokerage decisions, or provide legal, tax or accounting advice.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service uses cookies or similar browser storage where necessary for functions such as login sessions, authentication, security and user preferences. These technologies help keep you signed in and protect account activity.

If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies in the future, this Policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those technologies are used where required by law.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to service providers that process information on our behalf where reasonably necessary to operate the Service. These may include hosting and infrastructure providers, email-delivery providers, security or monitoring providers, backup providers and payment processors.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, court orders or lawful government requests; protect the rights, security or integrity of the Service or its users; investigate fraud or abuse; or complete a business reorganization, sale or transfer subject to appropriate protections.

Agent Splitter does not sell personal information for money. Agent Splitter does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

6. International processing

Agent Splitter is operated from South Africa and may use service providers located in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the state or country where you live. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use service providers and arrangements designed to provide appropriate protection for transferred information.

7. Data retention

We retain account and commission information for as long as your account remains retained by the Service and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Cancellation, failed payment, subscription expiry or suspension does not automatically delete your data.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information that we are not required or reasonably permitted to retain. Certain records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution or backup purposes. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until they are overwritten through normal backup rotation.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your password and for using reasonable care when accessing your account from shared or insecure devices.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to receive information about how it is used or disclosed. You may also have rights concerning sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain automated processing where those activities occur.

You can update basic account information through the Service. Agent Splitter is also designed to provide account-level data export and explicit account-deletion functionality. Where a request cannot be completed automatically, you may contact us using the details below.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right that applies to you.

10. California residents

California privacy law may provide eligible California residents with rights concerning access, correction, deletion, and information about categories and uses of personal information, as well as rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing or uses where applicable. Whether particular California statutory obligations apply to Agent Splitter depends on the legal thresholds and circumstances in effect at the relevant time.

Agent Splitter does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will provide any notices and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the Service.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices or applicable requirements change. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or both. The updated Policy will state its effective or last-updated date.
